U.S. Rep Maxine Waters insists SBF attend House Committee hearing. ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Democratic congresswoman Maxine Waters tweeted to Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) that he should testify before congress on Dec. 13, but it seems he’s too busy doing media tours to finish learning what happened at FTX. Last Thursday, SBF did a public interview with the New York Times, ignoring legal advice. NY Times took the liberty of titling the video ย โ€œI’ve had a bad month.โ€

Ripple files final submission in SEC case. โš–

Ripple filed its final submission on Dec 2 in the landmark, two-year-long crypto case involving the SEC. Ripple’s response to the summary judgment filed by the SEC states that the SEC failed to prove the investments made between 2013 and 2020 by Ripple were securities.

Lens Protocol wins DeFi Project of the Year at the inaugural Crypties award show. ๐Ÿ†

The Crypties is an annual award show that honors excellence in the blockchain ecosystem and took place last Wednesday at Art Basel Miami. The award show has categories such as NFT Project of the Year, DeFi Project of the Year, and DAO of the Year. Notable winners include Lens Protocol, a blockchain-based social graph designed to give control back to its users by allowing content creators to own information and links and monetize their creations. Think Web3 Social Media, except you own your profile and its content and will never be kicked off the platform at the whim of the protocol. #DeFiisbae

LGND.io, Polygon, Warner Music Group are partnering to create a music platform.๐Ÿš‚

E-commerce and interactive platform builder Legend.io is partnering with blockchain developer Polygon and global music giant Warner Music Group to create a music platform called LGND Music. Set for release in January 2023, this platform is designed to play โ€œdigital collectibles from any blockchain in a proprietary player.โ€ Select Warner Music Group artists can release collectibles on both the app and website. Warner Music Group is the third largest company in the global music industry.
