Kim Kardashian was fined $1.26 million by the SEC on Monday for “unlawfully touting a crypto security,” according to the SEC. Kardashian was promoting the digital token EthereumMax to her 228 million followers at the time on Instagram without disclosing that she was paid $250,000 to advertise it. As part of the settlement, she has agreed to not promote any cryptocurrency for three years. The headlines focus on the media personality, but some speculate this settlement is just a brand awareness strategy for the SEC and a warning to influencers that promote digital assets.
Meta announced on Thursday that NFT collectible support is available to Facebook and Instagram users in the U.S. This means that users in the U.S. and the 100 other countries with access to digital collectibles can now connect their wallets and share NFTs. The feature supports Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow.

The billionaire’s favorite meme coin, Dogecoin (DOGE), also rose 8.63% on Tuesday.
